BASICS
Why use SPECS BROS., LLC for your restoration and digitization needs? Because we understand that playback of legacy tapes is not a “push button” operation.
We never do mass digitization using automated systems because we realize that each tape and each recording is unique. Every tape we restore and digitize is handled individually by highly qualified technicians and each transfer is fully supervised: we are known for our ability to play back and digitize content from tapes that other facilities can’t.
To ensure that we capture the best possible signal from your legacy recordings, every tape that comes into our facility is examined, tested, cleaned and restored. Every machine we use is checked, cleaned and calibrated for proper signal response before playback and re-mastering of each and every tape.

At SPECS BROS. we handle most audio and video formats, from the earliest analog to more recent digital and high definition video. We remaster from a single tape or an entire archive to modern master and access formats.
Our clients range from individual collectors and artists to museums, universities, government archives and the military. The one thing they all have in common is that they highly value the recordings they have and want the best possible transfer of their material possible.
